While out flower hunting near her home, a woman has a possible Sasquatch encounter. The encounter was followed by several other possible stalking type encounters as well.

The following audio is a portion of the interview with the witness as she described her encounters:
I recently had an encounter with what may be a Sasquatch. My family and I live in Eastern Kentucky. We have 8 1/2 acres, and it is surrounded by forest land. I hike it by myself quite frequently. Most of our property is up the hill, it is not an easy hike! Not too long ago I was hiking alone, quite a way up the hill. I heard wood knocking below me. I thought at first it might be a family member joking me, but dismissed that idea quickly, since I always carry a sidearm and am a very good shot. I honestly never even thought ‘Sasquatch!” Just shrugged it off and continued up the hill. A bit later, as I meandered up the hill I heard something above and in front of me. I looked up just in time to see some-thing stand up, turn and quite clearly heard it WALK away. I went up the hill to take a look, but didn’t stay very long and went back home without incident.
When I got back to the house, I told my hubby and son what happened and they went right back up. Because we are so familiar with our property I was able to tell them exactly where this all happened. They found a trail in the vegetation in the area I heard the wood knocking, and it paralleled my path up the hill and above me. The foot falls in the vegetation were approx. 4 1/2 ft. apart. They also found what might be hairs caught in the thorns of a locust tree where I saw the some-thing stand up and turn and walk away.
A few days later I was wandering down our creek, which is right in front of our house. As I walked away from the house and shed, I got the ‘hebiee-jeebies’ really bad. So bad I couldn’t even make it to our property line. I could have sworn I kept hearing something large making noise on the hill above me, but the recent rain made the creek a little loud. I couldn’t take it anymore. (I am a former Marine, wife of a former Marine, mother of a former Army boy and a former Corrections Officer. Fear is not a normal for me.) I came up out of the creek on the road side instead of the woods side. My daughter (she is 13) came walking down the creek. I said NOTHING to her, just stuck close. (I had my sidearm) She ended up coming out of the creek with me. We walked about 10 feet when some-thing threw a rock into the creek beside us. You should have seen the look on her face!
Once back at the house, all four of us went back down the wooded side of the creek. They were making fun of me, but hubby knows my ‘heebie-jeebie’ meter is usually spot on. So I did get the jeebies again, bad. Our daughter had gone back to the house by then, so it was just me, hubby and our son. We had just started to walk up a trail to the first flat on the hill above us when a tree just out of sight around the curve of the hill came down. T went back down to go check it out and our son and I went about 2/3 of the way up the path. I again couldn’t take it anymore, so we headed back down. About 2/3 of the way down, we hear T walking on the flat above us and both of us were waiting for him to come close enough to see. Well, there he came, from the bottom below us. They walked me back to the house and went back up. They found a path with well beaten down vegetation, but nothing else. The ground is generally unsuitable for good tracks. The next morning T and I went back to look. We found one footprint in the mud in the bottom. It was easy to see 3 toes and possibly a 4th toe, but there was a hole in the ground that prevented a toe print. We took a cast, it came out so-so.
Nothing else until yesterday, C and I went down the creek to our property line. No heebie-jeebies. But, as we were walking back to the house, another tree/branch came down behind us. I do not know if it was just coincidence or not.
(SRA-Andy) I spoke with this witness by phone. Other incidents she mentioned later in the interview:
– 2 days ago she was pounding in tomato stakes, making bangs. They heard a loud crash in the woods behind her.
– Early in spring, they Whooped and heard a Whoop reply.
On July 5, she sent me the following addendum:
I might have something else for you. I went creek walking this morning. The creek had gone down some so I could actually walk in most of it. We’ve had lots and lots of rain the last few days and this morning early (while it was still dark) the creek was up very high from all the rain. The first photo is of what I think is a print. It is under water on a little sand bar. I was unable to get a photo from straight above because of the reflection on the water. It looked like toes on the left of the photo and a heal on the right side. I didn’t change anything on the photo as sent to you, but I did get it to show up better with shadowing and color boost when messing around on picasa. Remember it is taken from the side, so isn’t nearly as impressive. It is the same size as the one we tried to cast. I tried to stand beside it for a photo, but it was silty where I stepped and immediately ruined the track 🙁 The second photo is of T standing and looking down where the track was. The third is just to give you an idea of how high the creek was just a very few hours ago. The first photo was taken at 1104 this morning.
I do believe there is NO way with as high and strong as the creek was early this morning that it could be a left over boot print. We have 3 pairs of rubber boots, all the same size, that the adults wear when creek walking and my rubber boot was bigger than the print, but the print was bigger than C’s rubber boots. I am no good at track wear in the water though, but the few other spots that usually show prints were wiped clean, not even coon prints.
