SRA-Todd:

Great report. Was he the one that put up the sign about Squatches being in the area?

The signs are located on a snowmobile trail close to my house. My encounter took place about fifteen miles west of Cloquet.

Thanks for sharing your encounter with us – have you been back to the area again?

You’re welcome, I like to share with anyone that’s willing to listen. I have only been back to the area twice. I went back for my stand the next day, and went to look for evidence a week later. I can’t wait to show the area to Jim and Andy.

Excellent report, Bow-Hunter, and congrats on the encounter. I too had “something” tree knock me two evenings in a row on the same stand while bowhunting bear in Sask in 94′. Really does change hunter’s life, doesn’t it?

Yes NDT, it certainly has. It took around two months or so before I could sleep right again, and not be terrified of going into the woods. Now I find myself more and more anxious every day. This season I will be a few miles from my encounter location, up on a hardwood hilltop, by some lake/swamp shore. I will be armed with a new camcorder and audio recorder. With any luck maybe I can catch one of the big guys coming down for a drink.
