This film is said to be inspired by true events.

The Ohio Bigfoot Conference May 16th, 2015 recently announced that they will be premiering the new Bigfoot film "Something In The Woods" at the Salt Fork State Park Lodge & Conference Center on Friday night, May 15th. Here's a word from director Michael Hall:

"I know everyone at the conference this year will enjoy what we have created , David Ford and myself spent a huge amount of time making sure this film held up to what researchers would appreciate in a movie about Bigfoot but also made a film a family could enjoy together. In other words this isn't a monster movie... lol"

The true story this feature film is based on is about the Cowman of Copalis Beach, Washington.  Cowman is what the four-year-old told his parents he had seen, and it is the source of that word.  The female of the two sasquatches even attempted to talk to the child a few times through the child's bedroom window.  Its a very intriguing and frightening story of sasquatches being interested in children and attempting to abduct one.  Here is a link to a documentary filmed at the location where this event actually occurred, and also a written report about this encounter.
